Phil Viramontes is a University of California, Santa Barbara grad and proud gaucho who decided to settle in Ventura County after moving from his hometown of Bakersfield, CA. After graduating in three years with honors and an English degree, he went to the University of San Diego School of Law. While in San Diego, Phil volunteered with the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program, earning valuable experience in helping low income clients with their child custody and restraining order matters.
After working for a civil law firm in Bakersfield, Phil decided to make the move to Ventura County in 2018, where he has been working and living ever since. Phil has represented clients in front of the Ventura County Superior Court, Los Angeles Superior Court, and Santa Barbara County Superior Court, in civil law as well as family law, and has given back to the community by volunteering his time to help people with their legal matters. Phil received the Verna R. Kagan VCLA Award in 2022 for his efforts in volunteering at the clinic. Phil has worked with clients in both English and Spanish and brings his experience as a bilingual person to his practice of law.
Phil is married to his wonderful wife, Brenda, and has two dogs, Chip and Chava.
